Concept

The resort will be the base camp for all Expedition Trips around Moab and will be open to public. The first phase will establish 20 guestrooms, an RV Post, and a club house that includes retail, a restaurant, a gallery, and an archive. The resort offers a unique blend of adventure and productivity. Guests can enjoy the breathtaking natural surroundings of Moab while having convenient access to region’s outdoor recreational opportunities. It encourages collaboration with like-minded individuals, making it an ideal choice for family and outdoor enthusiasts seeking a vibrant and innovative lifestyle in this stunning desert landscape.

Club House 

The form language of the clubhouse, characterized by Four nose tilts up in the middle and a skylight window dropping down on the roof, draws inspiration from the history of cowboy hats in the United States

Check in

At the heart of our lobby, a central fire pit is surrounded by concrete floors engraved with the resort's coordinates, evoking the spirit of Arctic and Antarctic expeditions. The check-in area, which also serves as a coffee bar, is located nearby, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests

Lounge

 National Geographic-sponsored photographers will display their stunning work in both the lounge and guestroom walls, offering a dynamic visual experience for guests. The curated collection is refreshed quarterly, ensuring a new and captivating showcase each season

Gallery

At the center of the resort, our gallery features an archive wall on the left, documenting past expeditions in captivating detail. On the right, guests can enjoy a curated magazine wall, perfect for leisurely browsing

Four mobile closets elegantly divide the retail area from the event launch space, creating distinct yet flexible zones.

The retail cargo shelves, inspired by travel shipping boxes and the iconic National Geographic logo frame, embody a spirit of adventure and exploration. This design captures the rugged essence of travel, reflecting the brand's adventurous identity

Retail Gear

All gear and equipment for sale are thoughtfully displayed atop four central pedestal stones, creating a striking focal point. This layout enhances visibility and invites guests to explore the offerings with ease

Event Launching 

The event gathering space, conveniently located adjacent to the retail area, serves as the starting point for each adventure. Here, guests receive a brief overview and can rent necessary equipment before departing on their trips

Cabin Patio

Each prefabricated cabin is thoughtfully positioned to offer a unique perspective of the Moab desert, ensuring both privacy and breathtaking views. This strategic placement guarantees an exclusive and immersive experience for every guest

Bed Slide Out

The bedroom seamlessly extends onto the patio via an automated sliding system with built-in rails, allowing guests to wake up to the natural sunrise. This innovative feature offers a serene and immersive morning experience, blending comfort with the beauty of nature

Living Area

The prefabricated cabins are meticulously designed to match the dimensions of a 10x20 shipping container, ensuring easy deployment at any National Geographic expedition site worldwide. Inside, a versatile living space features an internal fire pit and a functional work desk, catering to the needs of creative photographers and explorers alike.

Cabin Bathroom

In the compact bathroom design, the bathtub is thoughtfully positioned beside the indoor shower, while the vanities are placed on the opposite side for optimal use of space. This layout ensures functionality without compromising comfort.

Bedroom Entry 

The living room and bathroom feature multiple MOLLE panels, offering guests ample and flexible storage options. In the living room, the MOLLE wall seamlessly integrates with the bedroom door, maintaining a sleek and cohesive design
